GBSLEP Skills Hub impact assessed in new report

Nov 24, 2023 | News

An independent evaluation and report highlighting the impactful outcomes of the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership Skills Hub has been published.

The study on the European Social Fund Skills Hub project was delivered by independent evaluators Winning Moves.

The report provides a comprehensive summary of the activities that took place between 2021 and 2023, along with some valuable recommendations that we believe could benefit future skills initiatives.

The report conclusion notes: “The Skills Hub has exceeded output targets and met area based targets.

“The Skills Hub has demonstrated resilience and an agile approach to delivery to ensure employers and employees have been provided with relevant training.

“Employers and employees are satisfied with the training they are receiving.

“The Skills Hub has undoubtedly played a key role in contributing to an uplift in skills training and the expansion of opportunities to find funded help which in turn contributes to a pipeline of talent and the inclusive and sustainable economic growth of the region.”

The Ladder for Greater Birmingham campaign was launched in 2018 by a team of partners from across the region, with financial backing from Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP) and BusinessLive publisher Reach plc as media partner.
