Exciting opportunity to help students find future careers

Secondary schools in the West Midlands are being offered the opportunity to bring their Year 9 and year 10 plus year 11 and 13 students to the Find Your Future Career programme at the Ladder Skills Academy in Millennium Point, Birmingham.

Over a series of events said to be held in March, students will take on engaging in interactive have a go sessions in engineering, hospitality, retail, oral care, health, social care and construction.

Students will also participate in a mock assessment session with an employer.

These sessions are designed to meet the requirements of the provider access legislation, ensuring that students receive valuable insights and hands-on experience in various skills and career pathways.

The interactive nature of these sessions will not only make learning fun but also provides students with a clearer understanding of their future career options.

The Find Your Future Career programme is funded by the Commonwealth Games Legacy Enhancement Fund jobs and well-being project.

This funding underscores the importance of equipping young people with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their future careers from stock places will be allocated to schools on the first come basis.
